# Managing Venues

With a **Venue** account, you can monitor visitor activity on your dashboard, list or claim your venue, customize your public venue page, publish single or recurring show calendars, and manage incoming booking requests from performers.

## Venue Admin Dashboard

Open **My Dashboard** (`/dashboard` or `/venue`) to view your **Venue Admin Dashboard** and navigate between **Dashboard**, **My Venues**, **My Shows**, and **Booking Requests** in the sidebar. If your account manages both venues and acts, `/dashboard` prompts you to choose which admin area to open.

The dashboard gives you an overview of how clubgoers and performers engage with your venue pages and shows:

- **Venue and date range filters**: View aggregated stats across **All My Venues** or filter down to a specific venue, and select a time window (**Today**, **Yesterday**, **Last 7 days**, **Last 30 days**, or **Last 90 days**).
- **Period and all-time KPI cards**: Track period metrics (**Shows Viewed**, **Views**, **Favorites**, **Unique Viewers**, **Anonymous Share**, and **Favorites Rate**) right above your lifetime totals (**Total Shows**, **Total Views**, **Total Favorites**, **Unique Viewers**, **Anonymous Share**, and **Favorites Rate**).
- **Trend charts**:
  - **Views & Favorites (Trend)**: Compares venue views, favorites, and scheduled shows across the selected period (hourly for Today and Yesterday, or daily for 7, 30, and 90 days).
  - **Logged-in vs Anonymous (Views)**: Shows the split between signed-in visitors and anonymous traffic over time.

## Create or claim a venue

From the sidebar, open **My Venues** (`/venue/venues`) to manage your locations.

1. **Claim an existing venue (if listed)**

If an act has already listed a show at your location, a placeholder venue profile may already exist. Open **Claim a Venue** (`/venue/venues/claim`), search for your venue by name, city, or state, and claim it — or use the signed claim invitation link sent to your email. All existing shows at the venue are preserved.

2. **Create a new venue**

Click **Create Venue** (`/venue/venues/create`) and enter your venue's name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, contact details, and description.

3. **Customize your venue page**

Click **Edit** on your venue to configure its layout and content tabs.

> [!NOTE]
> Free accounts can manage **1** venue, and **Venue Pro** accounts can manage up to **5** venues (claimed and transferred venues count toward your limit). Need more than 5 locations? Submit a limit increase request directly from the limit modal on **My Venues**.

## Transfer a venue to another user

To hand a venue over to a new manager, open **My Venues** (`/venue/venues`), click the **Transfer** icon on the venue's row, enter the recipient's email address, and click **Transfer Venue**.

- **Recipient already has an account**: Ownership moves immediately, as long as the recipient has not reached their venue limit. They are given the **Venue** role automatically if needed and receive an email with a link to manage the venue.
- **Recipient does not have an account yet**: They receive an email with a sign-up link pre-filled with their email address and the **Venue** account type. After registering, they accept the transfer from **Pending Claim Invitations** (`/claim-invitations`). The invitation expires after 7 days, and you remain the owner until it is accepted.

> [!WARNING]
> Once a transfer completes, the venue and all its shows belong to the recipient and no longer appear under **My Venues**.

## Customize your public venue page

Like act profiles, the venue editor lets you drag widgets between **Active Widgets** and **Available Widgets** to control which sections appear on your public page and in what order:

- **Core venue sections** (included on all plans):
  - **General & Contact**: Address, phone, website, capacity, and venue details.
  - **Hero Image & Description**: Main venue photo, tagline, and overview.
  - **Map**: Interactive location map derived from your venue address.
  - **Shows & Played**: Upcoming show calendar and a list of acts that have performed at your venue.
- **Venue Pro sections**:
  - **Social Links**: Highlight your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, YouTube, and Spotify pages.
  - **Image Carousel**: Sortable photo gallery of your stage, seating, and atmosphere.
  - **Media Showcase**: Embed up to 5 YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, or SoundCloud links with a lazy-loading stage player.
  - **Blog**: Publish venue news, announcements, and event recaps with optional reader comments.

## Schedule shows at your venue

Open **My Shows** (`/venue/gigs`) or use the buttons at the top of the venue editor to add performances:

**Single Show**

Click **Add Show** (`/venue/gigs/create`) to schedule a one-off gig. Select the performing act, set the date, start and end times, genre, and admission details.

**Multiple Shows (Pro)**

With **Venue Pro**, click **Add Multiple** (`/venue/gigs/create-multi`) to enter a batch of show dates in a single workflow.

**Recurring Scheduled Shows (Pro)**

With **Venue Pro**, create recurring performance schedules (`/venue/gigs/create-scheduled`) for weekly residencies, open mics, or regular entertainment nights.

## Manage incoming booking requests

Open **Booking Requests** (`/venue/booking-requests`) to review pitches submitted by acts:

1. Filter requests by venue if you manage more than one location.
2. Click the view icon on any request to inspect the act's preferred and alternate dates, proposed budget, event details, and message.
3. If an act sends unwanted requests, click **Block Act** to prevent that act from submitting future booking requests to that venue.
4. Switch to the **Blocked** view at any time to review blocked acts and click **Unblock** to allow requests again.
