Answers to common questions about discovering shows, claiming profiles, managing acts and venues, and billing on GoClubin.
Do I need an account to browse shows, bands, or venues?
No. Anyone can search acts, venues, and shows, set a search location and radius, and view public profiles and show calendars. You only need an account to save items to My Favorites (/favorites), save default browsing preferences across devices, or manage an act or venue.
My band or venue is already listed on GoClubin. How do I take ownership of it?
When a venue schedules an act (or an act lists a venue) that has not registered yet, GoClubin creates an unclaimed profile so the show appears on the calendar. You can claim it in two ways:
- Invitation link: If an invitation was sent to your email address, click the signed link in the email (or sign in and visit
/claim-invitations) to accept it. - Self-claim: Register as an Act / Band or Venue manager, then open Claim an Act (
/act/acts/claim) or Claim a Venue (/venue/venues/claim) to search for and claim the profile. All existing show listings are preserved.
How many acts or venues can I manage on one account?
The Free plan includes 1 act profile (for Act Managers) or 1 venue profile (for Venue Managers). Upgrading to Act Pro or Venue Pro raises your limit to 5 profiles. Newly created profiles, claimed placeholder profiles, and profiles transferred to you all count toward this limit.
If you manage a roster or hospitality group with more than 5 acts or venues, click to add another profile on your dashboard and use the Request Increase form in the modal to message the team.
How do I hand my act or venue over to someone else?
Open My Acts (/act/acts) or My Venues (/venue/venues), click the Transfer icon on the profile, and enter the new manager's email address. Site administrators can also transfer any act or venue from the admin area.
- If the recipient already has a GoClubin account, the profile moves to them right away and they get an email. The transfer is blocked if they have already reached their act or venue limit.
- If the recipient does not have an account, they get an email with a sign-up link pre-filled with the correct account type. After registering, they accept the transfer from Pending Claim Invitations (
/claim-invitations) within 7 days. You stay the owner until they accept.
Why do I see a Pro badge next to Booking Notes or Social Links in the editor?
All managers can fill in and save fields like Booking Notes and Social Links at any time. On the Free plan, those details are saved to your draft profile so you do not lose your work, and they become visible on your public page as soon as Act Pro or Venue Pro is active on your account.
What audio and media formats can I showcase on my profile?
- Audio Player (Act Pro): Upload MP3, M4A, or OGG audio files with custom titles, descriptions, and sort order. Visitors can stream them in a playlist player and bookmark individual tracks.
- Media Showcase (Act Pro & Venue Pro): Embed up to 5 links from YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, or SoundCloud.
How do I stop GoClubin from asking to save my view mode or filters every time I change them?
When you change a view mode, page size, or search location while signed in, a prompt asks if you want to save that setting as your default. Check Don't ask again in the prompt to stop future popups. You can re-enable the prompt or clear individual saved defaults anytime under Settings > Preferences (/settings/preferences).
Can a venue stop a specific act from sending booking requests?
Yes. On the Booking Requests page (/venue/booking-requests), a venue manager can click Block Act on any request to prevent that act from sending further booking requests to that venue. Blocked acts can be unblocked at any time from the Blocked tab on the same page.
Still need help?
Signed-in users can reach the team directly through the Contact page (/contact), or return to Getting Started.
