Using GoClubinManaging Acts and Bands

Managing Acts and Bands

Track audience analytics on the Act Admin Dashboard, create, claim, or transfer an act profile, arrange page widgets, schedule shows, and send booking requests.

Updated 5 min read

With an Act / Band account, you can track audience engagement from your dashboard, create or claim performer profiles, customize what appears on your public page, publish upcoming gigs, and send booking requests to venues.

Act Admin Dashboard

Open My Dashboard (/dashboard or /act) to view your Act Admin Dashboard and navigate between Dashboard, My Acts, My Shows, and Booking Requests from the sidebar. If your account manages both acts and venues, /dashboard lets you pick which admin workspace to open.

The dashboard tracks how visitors interact with your act profiles and show listings:

  • Act and date range filters: View combined metrics across All My Acts or select a single act, and switch the reporting window between Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, and Last 90 days.
  • Period and all-time KPI cards: Compare selected-period metrics (Shows Viewed, Views, Favorites, Unique Viewers, Anonymous Share, and Favorites Rate) alongside all-time totals (Total Shows, Total Views, Total Favorites, Unique Viewers, Anonymous Share, and Favorites Rate).
  • Trend charts:
    • Views & Favorites (Trend): Plots views, favorites, and shows across the selected period (hourly for Today and Yesterday, or daily for 7, 30, and 90 days).
    • Logged-in vs Anonymous (Views): Breaks down profile traffic between signed-in members and anonymous visitors.

Create or claim an act profile

From the sidebar, open My Acts (/act/acts) to manage your profiles.

  1. Check for an existing unclaimed profile

If a venue has already listed your band on a show bill, an unclaimed placeholder profile may exist. Open Claim an Act (/act/acts/claim), search by name, city, or state, and click Claim to take ownership while preserving all existing shows. You can also accept a signed claim invitation sent to your email.

  2. Create a new act profile

If your act is not listed yet, click Create Act (/act/acts/create). Enter your act's name, act type (such as Band or Entertainer), genres, location, contact information, and description.

  3. Customize your layout and content

Click Edit on your act to open the profile editor.

Transfer an act to another user

To hand an act over to a new manager, open My Acts (/act/acts), click the Transfer icon on the act's row, enter the recipient's email address, and click Transfer Act.

  • Recipient already has an account: Ownership moves immediately, as long as the recipient has not reached their act limit. They are given the Act / Band role automatically if needed and receive an email with a link to manage the act.
  • Recipient does not have an account yet: They receive an email with a sign-up link pre-filled with their email address and the Act / Band account type. After registering, they accept the transfer from Pending Claim Invitations (/claim-invitations). The invitation expires after 7 days, and you remain the owner until it is accepted.

Customize your public page layout

The act editor uses a two-column Layout board alongside dedicated content tabs:

  • Arrange sections: Drag widgets between Active Widgets (shown on your public page) and Available Widgets (hidden), or drag active widgets up and down to change their display order.
  • Core profile sections (included on all plans):
    • General & Contact: Act name, type, genres, city/state, phone, email, website, and travel radius.
    • Hero Image: Primary banner photo and tagline.
    • Bio: Full story and background for your act.
    • Members: Band lineup, instruments, and member roles.
    • Influences & Songlist: Musical influences and repertoire list.
    • Shows & Played: Upcoming gigs and a history of venues where you have performed.
  • Act Pro sections:
    • Booking Notes: Custom booking requirements, stage plot details, and availability notes.
    • Social Links: Links to Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other profiles.
    • Image Carousel: Sortable photo gallery.
    • Audio Player: Upload MP3, M4A, or OGG tracks with custom titles, descriptions, and sort order so visitors can listen and favorite tracks.
    • Media Showcase: Embed up to 5 links from YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, or SoundCloud in a stage player with a thumbnail selector rail.
    • Blog: Publish posts with rich text, embedded media, and configurable visitor comments.

Schedule shows

Open My Shows (/act/gigs) or click Add Show from the act editor to list your performances:

  • Single Show (/act/gigs/create): Select your act, pick an existing venue (or enter venue details), set the date, start and end times, genre, cover charge, and description.
  • Add Multiple Shows (/act/gigs/create-multi, Act Pro): Batch-create multiple performance dates for your act at once.

Send booking requests to venues

With Act Pro, you can reach out directly to venues on GoClubin to pitch a show:

  1. Visit a venue's public page and start a booking request, or review your sent pitches under Booking Requests (/act/booking-requests).
  2. Provide your Act, Preferred Date, optional Alternate Date, proposed Budget, Event Details, and a Message to the venue manager.
  3. Track all submitted requests and filter them by act from /act/booking-requests.
